5m 31s
The solemn anniversary of Kristallnacht brings to mind the music and customs of the old world that came under attack that fateful night. Sh’ma Koleinu, which asks that our voice be heard, is fitting as we remember what was lost. We also honor the memory of Moishe Oysher, who created this setting of the prayer and whose yahrzeit is observed this month. Wishing you a Shabbat shalom.
Featuring: Cantors Schwartz and Fox
Music: Moishe Oysher and Abraham Ellstein
Arrangement: Raymond Goldstein, commissioned by PAS Music Center
Music director: David Enlow
