Hoshanah Rabbah is the final day of pleading in the High Holiday season. It echoes Ne’ilah, when we pray that the gates of heaven, sha’arei shamayim, remain open to our voices.
As October 7 approaches, we are still carrying grief, praying for healing, and knocking on heaven’s door for strength, compassion, and peace. May our voices be heard.
Wishing you a Shabbat shalom and Hag Sameah.

‘9 to 5,’ But Make It Rosh Hashanah
A highlight from this year’s Rosh Hashanah service was Cantor Schwartz performing “Hayom T’amtzeinu” (Strengthen Us Today) to the tune of “9 to 5.” It was a joyful tribute to Dolly Parton and the goodness she brought into the world.
