New Release

2m 46s
As this week’s parashah recalls the building of the Mishkan, this song’s beautiful lyrics invite us to imagine what it means to build a sanctuary.
If Shabbat, when we sing this text, is a sanctuary in time, can we not also build a sanctuary in our hearts? And once the sanctuary is built, what is the “fire” and what is the “sacrifice”? Wishing you a Shabbat shalom.
Featuring: Cantor Azi Schwartz
Text: Rabbi Yitzchok Hutner after Sefer Haredim, c. 16th century
Music: Shmuel Brazil
Music director: David Enlow
AV: Oscar Acevedo, Terrell Simms, Erik van Batavia, Justin Goodman
