Last Flight Home: A Conversation
Recent Programs • 1h 7m
Last Flight Home, the award-winning documentary film by Ondi Timoner, Rabbi Rachel Timoner's sister, tells the story of their father Eli Timoner, his extraordinary life filled with remarkable successes and devastating setbacks, and most of all, the journey with his family to find closure at the end of his life. As part of our What Matters series, this conversation with Rabbi Timoner and Rabbi Zuckerman grapples with topics of death with dignity, medical aid in dying, the grace and connection that can emerge from embracing death, and what Jewish wisdom has to say about it all.
Rabbi Rachel Timoner is Senior Rabbi at Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
This event is in partnership with What Matters, Shomer Collective, Temple Emanu-El, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, and Plaza Jewish Community Chapel.
