This song’s message unites three types of grieving: personal mourning, grief at the state of our world, and collective grief at an unjust death. First performed at Eurovision in 2025, when there were hostages and warfare in Gaza, Cantor Schwartz sang this rendition immediately following the death of his father. We share it now to mark the return of Master Sergeant Ran Gvili’s body, the last hostage in Gaza. Whatever we mourn, as the song says, the Jewish people “don’t cry alone.” United in grief and hope, we wish you a Shabbat shalom.
Featuring: Cantor Schwartz
Assistant Music Director: Michael Hey

Sung at Eurovision by: Yuval Raphael

Our hearts are with those who have suffered and...
