Born the son of a cantor in Tsarist Russia and raised in the Lower East Side having fled the pogroms, Berlin wrote over 1,500 songs, shaping American music for decades. This song was recorded live at our June 2025 concert, and features on our upcoming album, Broadway: A Jewish Journey, which we can’t wait to share with you in September. Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom.
